THE STETSON STANDARD

Since 1865

True Heritage

Our story begins in the 1860s, when John B. Stetson was prospecting for gold in the Colorado Rockies and, struck by a sudden rainstorm, quickly fashioned a felt hat for protection. The modern cowboy hat was born, and more than a century and a half later, John B.’s pioneering legacy and commitment to quality live on in everything we make.

Crafted to last

Legendary Quality

From start to finish, our signature hats are made by hand in Texas, using only the finest materials and time-tested techniques, often utilizing the same machinery we’ve been using for decades. The result? The world’s most legendary hats, designed for the long haul and crafted to be passed on from one generation to the next.

Worn the world over

Singular Style

Our hats are iconic, and yet, each is truly unique—because no two Stetsons are ever worn the same way. Put one on, and you’re joining a community of true individuals unified in their appreciation of enduring quality and style that transcends trend.
