    Between the two, I prefer the Original scent but use this one on occasion. Black pepper is the main note, with wood undertones that take over after a while (lumber, not trees) and a trace of something-or-other that I suppose is the leather/suede note from the description. It is pretty striking without being overpowering.

    My husband and I really this cologne. I reviewed a few YouTube videos before ordering. Definitely different than original Stetson cologne. Not overpowering. Nice subtle leather hints. I ordered this to get free shipping and worked out very well.

    I bought a bottle of this at the drug store like 10 years ago when I was in high school. I absolutely love the smell of Stetson black. It’s a part of me now, the scent takes me back to a lot of my memories as a young man. Nice warm spice in the initial note and then a really nice, smooth suede and leather in the base note. Just a really nice pleasant scent. So sad to hear this was discontinued. PLEASE BRING THIS BACK!! I would buy bottles of this. It’s a great every day cologne for any man.

    Great scent! Well balanced and bold — without being too much. My only criticism is that it doesn’t last quite as long as the original, but it does have great staying power.

    Stetson Black is my top favorite Stetson fragrance. Love it because it smells like leather. Used to buy it at Walmart around Christmas time when it came in a gift pack . Now it seems like online is the only place to find it now.

    The original Stetson cologne is without a doubt is legendary. Rich, seductive, sexy, sweet, and masculine. Makes you feel the like a cowboy, and a boss of a country club. Quite versatile as well you can wear this on a date night out, it can be casual use but that' s pretty much it. Stetson Black takes the original Stetson DNA
