Purchased this hat for a trip to the UK - needed something packable, light and water repellant that I could use in light rain. Ended up being a sunny and hot spring in Ireland - worked perfectly to keep the sun off my face and loads of compliments from the locals. Heard "cool hat" more times than I can recall. It was a little snug when I first put it on but it quickly "stretched out" to a comfortable fit. This is my new go to.
Amazing fit and quality. Great flexibility. Just what I've wanted for sometime. Will be expanding my collection.

The right hat is never easy to find. The Kelso Outdoor Hat is the one. I love the oval crown without the pinch, and the brim has the right amount of lift. The size is spot on. Comfortable and sits perfectly on my head. Great value for the price. Very pleased.

I fell in love with the hat online and showed my friends. Started saving up for it. One day it showed up at my door. I love the fit, the feeling on my head, the color is great, I even love the band. I will be adding a feather soon just to give it that little bit of me, but I can't go wrong with anything named Kelso.
Dear Stetson , I got my Kelso Hat . Great quality and worth every penny . Problem is my size is between small and medium . Your advice is to size up . I didn't , and got small which is too tight so I will have to send it back for a medium . I am gonna see if it will fit my youngest daughter . If so I will give to her . Ether way I will be getting a medium on the way . ps I bought Stetson because its made in the USA . T. Brooks and GOD Bless

I was just looking at the hat and accidently ordered it, I like it and am happy to have it the fact that I could order a hat and NOT HAVE to have a one size fits all but able to order the correct size for me. Thanks for that Also looks good and fits well

This is such a beautiful and subtly unique hat. I love the mix of practicality and style. Unfortunately, I ordered a small and I need to exchange it for a medium. The sizing chart specifically states that if you’re in between sizes, you should size up. I was juuuust over the limit for a small, but decided to stick with it based off of some reviews. So in case you’re like me and base your purchase specs on review feedback, trust the Stetson sizing chart and size up!
It’s a good hat. Not much else to say.
This was my first stetson hat and I wasn't sure what to expect. I recently have been shopping around for another hat and no matter where else I've looked nothing else comes close to the price or quality of stetson hats. While wool felt hats can still lose their shape if they get soaked, this is a hat that you can rest a bit easier wearing in bad weather. If it does get soaked, let it air dry. Do not heat dry these hats. Heat drying will ruin them. My search for another quality hat ultimately brought me back to the stetson brand. I've decided on the Navy Hard rock for my next stetson purchase. It arrives today just as quickly as the Kelso did. 2-3 days. I cannot wait to add more of these hats to my collection. I've got my sights set on the open road deluxe, and the midtown wide flat brim. I couldn't be happier with my stetson purchase.

This hat is exceptional! This was my first stetson purchase and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. Everything from shipping times to the packaging, to the actual quality of the hat was top notch. I know that the price for some of these hats can seem steep but I very quickly understood why once my Kelso arrived. Seeing the quality of the outdoor Kelso gave me the confidence to buy another hat from stetson that costs much more. These hats are forever. I have been shopping around for hatters to get custom work done but I don't feel like i need to anymore. Stetson offers a wide variety of amazing hats that meet my needs. Keep in mind a consultation for getting one of these hats custom made elsewhere can be as high as $300 not to mentioned deposit. I've looked. Stetson is offering the same quality work as custom hatters, they're even giving you access to Beaver Felt Not just wool (the cheaper option). No matter the caliber hat you're looking for these guys provide hats for every style and budget. From beanies to fedoras. I'm impressed. Treat them with Love, and they'll last you a life time.
If you could only buy one Stetson hat the Kelso Outdoor Hat should strongly be considered. This hat is beautiful to the eye and well made. The hat keeps my head warm in California winters and can be worn in the rain just fine. Don't have to worry about the hat getting wet cause of wool material. The hat looks great and gives a true western feel which I love. I own several Stetson hats including the Open Road (felt and straw) and the Stratoliner Fedora (felt). The Kelso is right up their with my other Stetson's hats and is half the cost. I purchased the black Kelso in XL as I wear 7 5/8 hat size. I not only love the fit of the hat (super comfortable and fits perfect on my head) but I also love the beautiful hat band which complements the color of the hat perfectly. The Kelso is my go to hat for wearing outdoors especially when the weather is cold and wet. Stetson you really did a great job designing the Kelso. I think I may have found the perfect hat. In fact, I am considering purchasing the tan color hat as well. Thank you Stetson!

This is my second Kelso, I really love this hat.
I ordered a xl and it’s a very nice hat just could be a bit bigger in size for the largest size Stetson carries it seems small
So far I’ve worn this hat in cold and wet weather and it has not disappointed me at all. I haven’t had it for long. However, its proven quality and stylish appearance are just the tip of the iceberg. It’s very comfortable and it even get positive feedback throughout the day. Highly recommended!
Can't wait for Christmas morning for him to open it!
This is a sturdy hat that looks like it will hold up in all kinds of weather. It came very securely packed.
